IRS: When doing right feels wrong!

I was and am still trying to file the correct tax return after a month. It seems to be able to compelte my form my dependents need to have an ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number). However, to be able to file the ITIN I need to file my tax return ..... which is what I was trying to do in the first place. WTF?!!!

We've tried to go to a TACS and get some info on what the proper steps are. I get a form, which I already have and filled out, and get shooed out of the office. Humph! You don't want my money?

We call the IRS "help line" and get on the phone for 2 whole f*cking hours and get moved around from agent to agent. Until we end up with some guy with a cowboy accent. Are we in Texas? Maybe. But the point is, he treats me like a no good idiot foreigner .... thats while he's saying that he is heavily lacking in competer and online skills. How's that for an oxymoron? You know what, no, what a MORON!

When you have a situation, you want to present all the facts and get it clear. That last guy, he didn't want to listen. He was reading from a script. Its impossible that no one has ever had a question on the proper stepts to do the RIGHT thing and PAY TAXES!

No wonder there's a recesion ...? The government hires these guys with no training and the correct escalation procedure. Where are my foreigner paid taxes GOING?

Bozo, I f*cking speak better English than you do ... and yes, with a better twang for good measure.

Anyway, looks like I may have to skip filing electronically. I'm off to the third-party tax office to get some better answers tomorrow.

Wish me luck. Its less than a month 'til April 15 - last day of tax filing.

  1. Taxation in America is fascinating! What I really find interesting is the "refund". It's like shopping- going to a tax preparer who can max out your deductions. Amazing!
