Para Ke-bab ...

and a nice resto it was, too right next to AMC 16 Burbank. For the first time in weeks I was able to watch a movie ... The Wild. Too bad they cancelled the schedule for the other movie I could've watched both. Posted by Picasa

Ah, pagkaing-Pinoy! - Part II

Ah, pagkaing-Pinoy! - Part 1

Needless to say, I took a shot at the Jollibee outlet near the house.

3am in the morning

What am I still doing up? Well, I had to drop by the office and file my reimbursements. Am running out and its a long way 'till payday, if you ask me.

I was supposed to see a movie today at one of the local AMC theaters, but sleeping-in late was quite refreshing. The downside, my jetlag and time zones are still locked onto PST (Philippine Standard Time) instead of Pacific Standard Time. *sigh*

So, before getting home I picked up some golden arches spicy chicken (at last). It took me a while to figure out what all that ad on the regular chicken meal meant for "spicy". Will let you know what I think of it in a bit .... din din time!

Nice and warm ..

That was the weather today at 13-degrees. My personal heater shut-off real quick after I turned it on to sleep around 5am. Looks to be a cooler weekend.

Got my favorite wake-up call around 9:30am and my body said "sleep in" ... so I did. Got myself out of bed around 2:30pm to cook some breakfast.

Through all this, I felt really guilty not getting any work done. In reality though, its always on my mind and solutions forming. Perhaps thats why I never get enough sleep and find it hard to do so. There's just so much to be done.

Deadline tomorrow, time to save the day.

Where in the World is ...

Myself? I'm finally back in California arriving last night via PR102 at LAX. Took a rental from AVIS which was a nice Chevy HHR midsize which incidentally looks almost like a PT Cruiser.

Appologies for not keeping everyone updated, I was on the move mostly and rushing some research work.

And yes, I've finally got my visa sorted out. Whew!

Now I can try to review and figure out how to pass the DMV either Monday or Wednesday when I line-up.

After that ... time to get myself some wheels of me own ....

Let's Volt-in!

A'right, for those who insist on keeping tabs via the social networks, here are links to mine. Admittedly, I've tried them all ... well, almost :-)

Old Friend

I've been friends with this guy since grade school. Yeah, yeah, they say he's a loud mouth but beneath that is a timid individual getting to grips with his extreme parental differences. Here's a snapshot before I kicked his ass out of the van. Just kidding, nah, I had to catch my flight to LAX in a few hours. Before all of this I sponsored lunch my family as well as Yna's. Too bad Raffel and Art couldn't stop by.

And oh yeah, you should see Harvy's son Saegril. Looks like the kid now has one of his own as well. Posted by Picasa

Memories of Papa Jimmy

Well, I was mucking around for some links to my father, and happened upon this rare pic of him. He's always been a very active APO member and I believe served on the board of directors or something. Ah, memories of the days at the backyard initiating the newbies .... my first taste of fresh oysters, azusena, and a sniff of beer. It wasn't a bad experience after all. Except I remember my mom being quite upset with many of the kitchenware missing after. I love you papa, and miss you so much .... Posted by Picasa

Rhae's birthday

Ging had this bash setup at the Patio Ybarra which was nice enough considering it included parking, the food, balloons, a magician, the emcee, everything.

I started to take pics of some interesting lighted angles. Wish I had a better camera. Posted by Picasa

Day 6: Clarke Quay (SG)

Thats pronounced "kee" instead of "kwey". I dunno, go figure. Its Singapore.

Our good friend Ai-Ling joined us for late dinner (its midnight!) and some drinks.

------------------------

Well, Ai-Ling actually came over to Sunnyvale in June. Unfortunately, like thats 6 hours away to drive and I've got all this furniture to setup first. There'll be a next time, girl friend. Posted by Picasa
